AN ODE TO ITALY IN THE 60S

Mora Italiano was inspired by the bustling streets, striking fashion, and societal liberation that was emerging in Italy during the 60s and 70s.

The interiors are light-filled, relaxed and elegant, with an artfully curated mix of furnishings, making it the perfect spot to settle in for an intimate evening with friends, or a lover.

At Mora Italiano, we celebrate the best things that life has to offer; honest food, good wine, great design and of course, romance.

Drop in and share a special bottle of wine and a aperitivo, as you graze the menu complete with all the Italian classics.

You'll find the perfect wine to match, thanks to the extensive list curated by our Sommelier Fernando Trivisonno. Sip on one of his local favorites or let him surprise you with an extra special drop. Needless to say, you'll never go thirsty here.

Speaking of good food, Mindy Oh's love of local produce shines in their Italian-influenced menu, sharing a passion for creating simple, yet elegant dishes.

If there's a group of you, why not make a reservation on our beautiful outdoor patio and enjoy a shared dining experience.

In October 2020, Mora expanded it's offerings to the rooftops of West Hollywood with a brand new location on West 3rd Street, offering dine-in as well as takeout & delivery. We look forward to serving you all!

Fernando Trivisonno

WINE DIRECTOR

Born and raised in Argentina, Fernando Trivisonno is a strong believer in the connection between wine and artistic expression. He moved to Los Angeles with his family in 1989, and seeking a challenge, took his love of good food and wine and turned it into a career in the hospitality industry.

Previously, Trivisonno worked as the sommelier at 55 Degree Wine, as well as at The Red Room, widely popular among patrons for its wine program. In 2018, he accepted the role of sommelier of Mora Italiano, the newest concept from Alliance Hospitality Group, where he focuses on pairing wines from around the world with Italian cuisine, based more on structure rather than flavors and region. He also chooses wines for guests by interacting with them, making selections based on their personality as well as preference.

An educated and accomplished level three sommelier, Trivisonno's certifications include Certified Specialist of Wine from the Society of Educators, and completion of wine programs from the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.

Trivisonno currently resides in the San Fernando Valley and has three children. In his spare time, he enjoys listening to classical music and reading books.

William Emmerson

INTERIOR DESIGNER

British designer William Emmerson was born in London, England in 1966. Emmerson cites a small sculpted wooden head which his father hand-carved for him when he was 12 years old as both his prize possession and the impetus for beginning his life as a designer. Watching his father carve, it became obvious to him that he wanted to create. From that point forward, his journey has been a natural progression.

William attended Polytech in London where he studied design, wood and metal work. As a young man with a lust for travel, William left college and saw the world, gaining invaluable experience and inspiration all along the way.

Nearly a decade after graduating, the designer embarked on the most significant piece of his journey to date. He purchased an around the world ticket, planning to visit the Far East "to find oneself" and to see the land where his father grew up. However, after a stopover in Los Angeles to visit a friend on his way to Panang, Malaysia, Emmerson never made the trip.

Upon arrival in LA, Emmerson unknowingly developed a passion for interiors. With his magnetic personality, Emmerson went on to make priceless connections in Hollywood, which led to 8 years in the film business as an Art Director. After growing tired of "building elaborate sets only to tear them down", William started building custom furniture on the side. In 1997, William opened his storefront Emmerson Troop, which has become a Mecca for modern and vintage furniture collectors alike.

Since opening the store, the multitalented designer has completed more than a dozen notable interior design and renovation projects including his own Robert Byrd house and most recently an apartment in the landmark 1920's El Royale building.

Starting in 1999, William also began designing a series of furniture collections, sold exclusively through Emmerson Troop. These collections – which included a colorfully upholstered outdoor collection, a couple different seating and lighting lines, and a set of tables he called Tetraskelion – officially put him on the map as a furniture designer and caught the unwavering attention of the press.

Today, William Emmerson is an internationally known artist running William Emmerson Inc. in Los Angeles, CA. William Emmerson Inc. is a multi-disciplinary company that works in interior and furniture design, antiques, modern art and renovation for residential and commercial buildings.
